Once you perform a search and find singles you’d like to talk to you can use the “Email” button on their profile to send them a private message. You can also “Favorite” users and view their updates in your personal activity feed.

The interface has been totally redesigned from the ground up. The new simple display makes it easy to see who’s sent you messages and what they are about. You can also see which messages are “Unread”. The outbox tab will allow you to quickly find any messages you’ve sent to other users while on our site.

Accessing your messages is a breeze. Click on the “Messages” button in the top navigation menu. The first screen you arrive at will show you the 6 most recent messages sent to your account. You can access additional pages of messages by clicking the navigation arrows on the bottom right of your inbox.

Once you click a message from your inbox you’ll be able to read the entire message. You’ll also see a response box below the message that will allow you to reply to the message sender.

You can send a new private message to other BrowseMyPics.com users by clicking the “Email” button located on anyone’s profile page.

Singles on Facebook can automatically create a BrowseMyPics user account if they do not already have one on our system. This one-click account creation has proven to be very popular during our first few thousand test registrations – gone are the days of filling out long forms to gain access to dating search results and other online dating features.

A great way to get massive exposure to your profile is to post simple updates and photos every few days or weeks. In addition to being in the spot light, active members are most likely to receive communications from other users for obvious reasons (who wants to message someone that hasn’t logged in for 3 weeks?)

So what are most important points and ideas to consider when creating your dating profile?

After research and countless surveys it seems the top five are honesty, a fresh profile, short and sweet, expectations, and of course photos.

Photos

The personal photo is an important part of your online dating profile. It is your introduction. So put you best foot forward and remember these dos and don’ts

DOs

• A recent photograph of yourself
• Show some of your figure
• Use your creative license to show you are unique and fun
• A photo of you involved in a favorite activity or in front of a landmark

Dating Profile Don’t

• Party photos
• Unflattering photos
• Excessive cleavage if you are a female or shirtless if you are a guy
• Photos where your face is covered

Honesty

Honesty is of paramount importance when you create an online dating profile. At first it is tempting to enhance or embellish your life and accomplishments. A good way to attract dates right. Not at all in the end as the date realizes the little white lies it will send up a red flag that you are not to be trusted. By maintaining honesty you avoid situations where you are called on to account for discrepancies in your profile.

Expectations

Online daters can be discouraged by the number of people who contact them that are not what they are looking for. Not surprisingly this is one of the biggest complaints. The description of your ideal match is such an important piece of your profile so take care not to be to casual and think realistically. List physical qualities, personality, and character traits equally. One good way to improve the interest shown to you is to use your header as a filter. So take the opportunity to be specific. Example

“Looking for fit 24-30 year old male within 20 miles of Boulder”

“Be local, fit, over 40, and have a posted picture.”

“I’m looking for a lighthearted woman between the ages of 24 and 29 who enjoys the humorous side of life.”

Maintain a Fresh Profile

Tend to your profile by rotating your pictures and making modifications in your header every few weeks or so. Challenge yourself to create a new, clever, creative or filtered subject header. By doing this you will attract new people and increases the chances of it being viewed.

Short and Sweet

Always attempt to create a profile that is interesting by being descriptive, unique, and fun. Never come off as boastful or self absorbed.

No one wants to read every last detail of your life. So keep it positive because a litany of complains and negativity are big turnoffs.

Be as inclusive as possible in your writing by bypassing cyber jargon acronyms like DTE (down to earth) and F2F (face to face) are not only excluding, but just plain boring and sometimes worn out.
So there is nothing nicer than to read a profile that is short, sweet, and to the point. By keeping your description succinct and concise will leave people intrigued and wanting more.
